"There’s so much opportunity here if you’re willing to work and put in the hours.”
Pieter, his wife Celeste, and two cats moved over to Adelaide from Namibia, in December 2021. They were fortunate enough to only spend 3 days in quarantine after arriving as restrictions were lifted. They packed up their lives early 2021 and made their way through to South Africa before finally making it over to Australia.
Initially, they battled to find rental accommodation, but they have very quickly settled into their new lives, and love being outdoors hiking, and taking regular trips to the beach.
Pieter started working on applying for his visa way back in 2020 but it was a rather complicated journey. After enquiring with three agents to get their process going and being told that he didn’t qualify, he found a way and finally applied for his visa the day before he turned 45.
After receiving the good news regarding their visa approval, they couldn’t make their journey immediately and fly to Aus. because of all the restrictions that were still in place. He also chats to us about the process of taking their two (well-travelled) fur babies over with them after traveling from Namibia to South Africa and then finally over to Aus.
Pieter talks us through the process he’s had to follow by bringing an innovative product into Australia and sheds some light on all the support that he‘s received while setting up his new business.
