"The way we transitioned into society here - it was so easy. To fit in and get everything sorted out and settling in at work and getting to know people and making friends. It was effortless."
In our 128th episode this week, I chat with Marius and Natasha who have made Darwin their new home.
After initially thinking that New Zealand may be the better option to pursue, Marius and Natasha went on holiday there at the end of 2019, for a “look and see” experience. However, when the Covid pandemic hit, Australia became the more favourable migration destination for them to move to.
As a Veterinarian, Natasha managed to secure a job within a month of applying for positions. Their visa application process was arranged, and their approval came through rather swiftly. Natasha finished her year of Community Service, which counted towards the experience required for her visa, and they then made their move over to Darwin.
Listen in as they share their thoughts on living in Darwin and find out how they received their 189 Visas so quickly. Natasha shares her experiences on what it’s like being a Veterinarian in Aus, and Marius, an Electrical Engineer, tells us how easily he managed to secure himself a job.
