DETAILS OF SERVICES
The scope of services is limited to a single consultation only, unless we are instructed by you to provide further services and we accept those instructions in writing, or need to gather more information from you in relation to our consultation discussions to finalise our advice or service to you.
Section 43 of the Code of Conduct, which regulates the conduct of registered migration agents, prohibits agents from providing immigration assistance to clients (unless this occurs during an initial consultation) without a signed service agreement in force.
DETAILS OF FEES AND DISBURSEMENTS
DETAILS OF FEES
The basis of the fees for the services is calculated as follows:
Fixed Fee
Consultation up to 45 minutes: $350.00 incl. GST.
PAYMENT SCHEDULE
We require payment of the relevant professional fees in advance.
PAYMENT METHOD AND ACCOUNT
Credit Card (or EFT in limited circumstances).
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
APPOINTMENT OF AGENT
The Client appoints and authorises the Agent(s) to represent the Client and to perform the services described in this agreement.
CODE OF CONDUCT (CODE)
The Migration (Migration Agents Code of Conduct) Regulations 2021 (“Code”) is intended to regulate the conduct of registered migration agents and the Agent and Client agrees to comply with the Code.
CONSUMER GUIDE
The Client agrees that the Agent has provided the Client with a copy of the Consumer Guide.
SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED
The services to be provided under this agreement include the following:
(a) Preliminary advice during and after the consultation regarding your potential migration or sponsorship options, based on the information that you provide.
(b) After the initial consultation, we may send you a brief summary of the consultation or continue to investigate your options and provide advice, and, if applicable, relevant Fact Sheets regarding any potential migration options that we have identified for you. Our Fact Sheets include general information on the criteria and process for the relevant visa (or other immigration matter), along with an estimate of our professional fees.
WHO WILL PERFORM THE WORK
All immigration assistance will be provided by the Responsible Agent(s) that are listed in this agreement.
REFUNDS
A full refund will be available (minus bank costs) if cancelled at least 3 business days prior to the meeting via the automated booking link issued to your email address once you confirm your meeting request. If you have not received it, check that your email address has been added correctly when you made the booking.
If cancelled within 72 hours of the meeting no refund will be provided.CONFIDENTIALITY.
We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that the information and documents that you provide before, during and after your initial consultation are kept confidential and secure, in accordance with our professional and legal obligations. Please note that we may record our consultation with you, to ensure that we have an accurate account of the information that you have provided, and the migration options we have discussed. Any such recording made will be stored in a confidential and secure manner, as required by law.
GOVERNING LAW
The law as applied in Queensland; Australia governs this agreement.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CLIENTS
a reference to ‘Client’ is a reference to all Clients in this Agreement.
